“There is raw sewage flowing by the litres, damming up on the premises, as well as running onto the N12 highway,” said the complainant.
“I have, as a result, had members of my gym cancel their bookings due to the overwhelming stench and health hazard.
“Our members cannot use our toilet facilities as a result of this sewage problem.
“We have repeatedly reported the problem to Ekurhuleni council and all we receive is reference numbers.
“I am deeply concerned about my business going into this critical time of year, as well as the environmental impact it is having in a suburban area.”
The Advertiser is still awaiting a response from the Ekurhuleni metro.
