Local child welfare to hold AGM; volunteers urgently needed

Boksburg Child Welfare invites the community and all members to its AGM for 2016.

The meeting will commence at 10am, in the old town hall building, on the corner of Commissioner and Trichardts streets, on November 26.

The society is in need of the services of suitably semi-qualified or qualified volunteers, with legal and financial or accounting/management and fund-raising backgrounds, who would be considered for nomination to complete the board membership, and others to serve on sub-committees.

The branch has faced tremendous challenges in the past few years, during which time it had to be administered by the umbrella body – Child Welfare South Africa.

It is, therefore, looking to regain public or private investor confidence and to pursue its core organisation’s goals and aspirations as an NGO/NPO, to serve the communities based in the Greater Boksburg-Vosloorus districts of Ekurhuleni.

Any prospective members may contact the organisation on 011 917 9544, by November 23, for procedures on how to join.
