Drought persist yet water gushes forth in Impala Park

A concerned resident from Impala Park is worried about the kilolitres of water being wasted as a result of a leaking water meter.

The water has been running since October 27.

The resident, who wanted to remain anonymous, said he has logged a complaint with the Ekurhuleni Municipality and was told that the issue would be addressed in four to 24 hours.

“To date, after numerous follow-ups, including twice on November 7, I am still waiting for both agents to call me back.

Kilolitres of water are being lost due to a leaking water meter in Impala Park.

“The leak has now caused the water pressure to be lower than their services. Also, the meter reading was taken today and the official who came said the reading was very high.

“So now I am asking myself who is responsible for the payment?”

The Advertiser is still awaiting a response from the metro.
