Government turns to divine intervention as drought persists

The National Water and Sanitation Minister Nomvula Mokonyane and Ekurhuleni Executive mayor, Clr Mzwandile Masina recently led a prayer session for the rain with Prophet Paseka Motsoeneng.

The event took place at the Incredible Happenings Church in Katlehong.

The prayer comes as drought persists in the country, threatening to rapidly deplete the water resource.

Meanwhile, The City of Ekurhuleni will from today implement water rationing from 9pm to 5am every night in order to preserve water.

Residents are urged to use water sparingly.

Members of the Incredible Happenings Church raises their hands in prayer for the rain.
