St Dominic’s wins Inter-Catholic Schools Tennis Tournament

The Inter-Catholic Schools Tennis Tournament was held at Brescia House School, on Saturday, October 15.

The tournament was played on a Round Robin format and the St Dominic’s team reached the final round, together with Brescia House.

The final play-off was won by St Dominic’s.

Saintees 2017 leaders announced

The St Dominic’s Junior (primary school) Drummies are the little sisters of the Saints and are affectionately known as the Saintees.

On Saturday, October 15, the Saintees had their annual awards function, which was a celebration of the 2016 season, in which they finished third in South Africa.

At this function, the leaders of the 2017 team were announced.

Khutso Mlambo was selected as the 2017 leader for Large Drill and Bridgete Zhekov as the 2017 leader for Small Drill.

Top students rewarded

St Dominic’s recognised their top students’ achievements and thanked them for their contribution to the school, at the Honours Awards Ceremony, held in the school hall, on Tuesday, October 11. Natasha Lavis was awarded the title of Dux Student for 2016.

Many other girls were recognised for their achievements.
