Prizes were awarded based on sales agents’ performance during 2015.
Ria van der Merwe, principal of ERA Boksburg-Germiston, was announced the Top Selling Broker National.
Sales agent Linda Diedericks, from ERA Boksburg-Germiston, received an award for first runner-up in the category ‘Top Sales Associate Gross Commission Earned – City’.
Van der Merwe and Diedericks told the Advertiser that they were both shocked when their names were called.
“I was close to tears, because I wasn’t expecting it. I was overwhelmed with emotion,” said Diedericks, who received her first ERA National award.
There were a total of 39 nominees in her category.
She added that she is currently giving it her all, to walk away as the 2016 Top Sales Associate Gross Commission Earned – City next year.
Van der Merwe received her third ERA National accolade.
“I only went to the ceremony to represent my branch; next thing I was named as Top Selling Broker in the country,” said van der Merwe.
She has previously been awarded the Bank Assisted Sales Program Top Sales Associate for 2014, as well as the Bank Assisted Sales Program Award – Top Franchise 2014.
The duo each received a certificate with a medal, and pens. Van der Merwe was also awarded a trophy.
They would like to thank their clients and family members for their continuous support.
Last year, both van der Merwe and Diedericks were also awarded the Top 20 Sales Associate National, twice.
Van der Merwe entered the real estate industry in 2003 and Diedericks’s footsteps date back to 2005.
“I love assisting people in search of their perfect home. My main objective is to deliver an excellent, professional service,” said Diedericks.
As a motivation to be the best in what they do, van der Merwe implemented a monthly competition among her ERA Boksburg-Germiston sales agents.
So far, Diedericks has received the following accolades within her branch for 2016: She was announced as top listing agent, from January to March; and in August, she was named the Sales Agent of the Month.
Van der Merwe was crowned the top listing agent in May, June and September, and in February, March and September she won the prize for the Sales Agent of the Month.
ERA Boksburg-Germiston sales agents are also members of ERL (East Rand Listing), where they compete with other agents in the area.
They won a boat trip for the most sales in 2015, on the MSC Sinfonia in February this year.
