Benoni man murdered, wife raped in home invasion
A man was murdered and his wife raped in their home in Benoni’s agricultural holdings in the early hours of this morning (October 28).
Maj-Gen Poobalan Subbiah, Ekurhuleni Central Cluster commander, said the incident happened between 1am and 1.30am, after about two people entered the home through a window.
“The husband woke up and found that his wife was being raped in the same bed,” said Subbiah, saying the couple were tied up.
“He tried to defend himself and they stabbed him and strangled him.
“He died next to the bed.”
