Police seek witnesses to deadly hit-and-run on Commissioner Street

The Reiger Park police need the public’s help in finding the driver of a car which struck and killed a man on Commissioner Street, near Delmore Gardens.

The body of the unknown man was found on the shoulder of the road by a passerby, at about 7.30pm, on October 2.

Investigators believe he was struck by a car, because they found broken pieces of glass and debris on the scene.

Investigators are now asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have information that can help them to identify the body to come forward.

The body is described as that of a middle-aged man, who was wearing blue jeans, a black leather jacket, a yellow T-shirt and black sandals.
