Afrox brings cheer to Thokomala Foundation

The Thokomala Foundation. that takes care of children who are orphaned and abandoned, has received much needed donations.

Two homes run by the foundation are situated in Villa Liza and Vosloorus. The donation was made by the Department of Safety Health Environment and Quality (SHEQ) at African Oxygen Limited (Afrox) in conjunction with British Standards Institute, Master Drive and Coca Cola.

The donation consists of six bunk beds and mattresses.

In their efforts to give back to the community, Afrox also supports the Boksburg Child Welfare branch.

The head of the SHEQ department from Afrox, Stephen Moran, said as part of their Bumbanani Day Celebration, they saw fit to give back to the community by being involved with the foundation.

“Our plan is to continue upgrading the two centres, as they are doing a great job by sheltering these children,” Moran said.

”We are also going to be taking these children from the Villa Liza and Vosloorus house for an outing to Carnival City, to pamper them for the day.

“We are encouraging these children to have hope and continue loving themselves, because they are loved,” Moran said.

Venessa Naidoo Pillay, from the Boksburg Child Welfare office, thanked the Afrox team for their wonderful contributions to the two centres.
