Raffle winner spreads the love

The Ekurhuleni Regional Council of SPCAs recently hosted its fifth annual Animal Run fundraiser.

Dave Momsen was the lucky winner of the wheelbarrow liquor hamper valued at more than R3 000. Seen with him is Bianca Jonker.

The event is an opportunity for the motorcycle community to support the SPCAs and once again the bikers did not disappoint.

A heightened awareness of the SPCA and the plight of animals were also achieved.

The sale of raffle tickets made up part of the funds raised.

A 125cc scooter valued at R16 000, as well as R15 000 cash, made up the prize for the winner of the raffle.

Dionne Henson, from Boksburg, was the lucky winner of the scooter valued at R16 000, as well as R15 000 cash. Seen with her is Alex de Rapper, from Holeshot Boksburg.

Henson said the scooter will be used by her son and R7 500 of the prize money will be donated to the Boksburg SPCA.
