The operation took place Windmill Park and Reiger Park, between 10pm and 6am.
EMPD spokesperson Lieut-Col Wilfred Kgasago said that in Windmill Park on Kahleho Street, a male suspect was found in possession of 19 ziplocks of dagga and 20 dagga cakes.
He was arrested and detained at Dawn Park Police Station and charged with possession and dealing in illicit substances.
The second arrest was of a male suspect in his 30s, who was arrested at his place of residence in Regents Street in Reiger Park when found in possession of two Mandrax tablets and five 9mm live rounds.
Kgasago said the suspect was detained at Reiger Park police station on charges of possession of unlicensed ammunition and illicit substance.
The arrested suspects were expected to appear in respective magistrates’ courts soon.
