This is after Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba announced that the anti-gay American pastor will not be granted a visa to visit South Africa.
Anderson had planned a “meeting” at Elridge Corner Shopping Centre, in Bartlett, on September 18.
“We are meeting for breakfast from 9am-10am on Sunday, September 18, at the shopping center where the Sugacube Cafe is located, but we are not be eating at the Sugacube Cafe. We will eat somewhere else in that parking lot,” said the US pastor.
Gigaba said Anderson will not be permitted to visit the country.
Gigaba announced his decision after receiving two petitions from the lesbian‚ gays‚ bisexual‚ transgender and intersex (LGBTI) community with more than 60 000 signatures opposing the intended visit.
“Mr Steven Anderson and members and/or associates of his church are prohibited from entering the Republic of South Africa.”
