WIN! Great food, great shopping now at East Point

The revamp of East Point Shopping Centre (previously East Rand Galleria Shopping Centre) is already at around 90 per cent of completion.

It was announced, back in August of 2014, that the East Rand Galleria would receive a major R400-million reconfiguration and renovation from owners JSE-listed SA Corporate Real Estate Fund.

The refurbishment also marked the centre adopting a new name, East Point, to better reflect its refreshed, aspirational market positioning.

Over the last couple of years, the shopping centre has undergone a radical change that includes doubling its retail variety to around 80 stores, a fresh new family-oriented food court, and improved parking and access.

Shoppers are also offered the quality and value they expect, with a substantially upgraded Pick n Pay Hypermarket at its heart, situated at Entrance One.

There are also now two entrances to Game, one located in North Rand Road and the other accessible while walking thorough the centre itself.

Entrance Two is the home of the food court, which features Brooklyn Brothers (a modern American diner), Hello Tomato (freshly made-to-order pasta and modern Italian thin crust pizza), John Dory’s (family seafood and grill restaurant), Simply Asia (authentic Thai food) and well-known Italian cuisine restaurant, Mimmos.

Take note, the Parrots establishment, which has been part of the centre for many years, is also part of the food court, while Karoo (steakhouse) will be opening soon.

“As we look forward to bringing our shoppers an enhanced shopping experience, we invite all those on the East Rand to come and view our beautiful shopping centre, which now offers a variety of great brands and, at the same time, fabulous food,” said Zandre van den Berg, marketing manager of EastPoint.
