Another body found in the Boksburg Lake

The body of an unidentified man was found in the Boksburg Lake on the morning of September 8.

Police found no visible wounds on his body and it’s not clear how he died or ended up in the lake.

Ekurhuleni Emergency Services spokesman William Ntladi said they responded to a call around 10.26am alerting them to the body of a person believed to have drowned.

“The body was found floating in the water which gives us an idea that there is a possibility that the body has been in the water for quite some time because the body was starting to decompose. The man’s skin was starting to peel off,” Ntladi said.

Police are investigating.

On January 24, a woman’s naked body was found floating in the Boksburg Lake, close to the shore near the Boksburg Library.
