Salon owner nabbed for allegedly dealing in drugs

The Boksburg police have again bust a foreign national for dealing in drugs in Boksburg CBD.

The Tanzanian alleged drug dealer, who also runs a hairdressing salon on Commissioner Street, was arrested by W/O Siza Dlamini and his colleague Const Thokozani Ntshalintshali, on Friday, August 12.

The man was reportedly found in possession of a plastic bag containing dagga at his business.

The arrest came a few days after the same two officers arrested a Nigerian national they found with a handful of cocaine in the Boksburg CBD.

The Nigerian man also had R14 993 in cash on him, believed to be from his drug trade.

After receiving a tip-off, Dlamini and Ntshalintshali went to the suspect’s home, where they searched him and his room.

They recovered two small plastic bags containing white powder, which on subsequent analysis was confirmed to be cocaine.

The suspect allegedly tried to bribe the cops with cash after he was nabbed with the illicit substance.

The offer was turned down.

The man was then taken to the police station where he was charged with possession and dealing in drugs.

The arresting officers were applauded for their actions in these cases.
