The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) is ready to welcome voters to different polling stations across South Africa for the 2016 Local Government Elections that will be held on August 3.
To check if you are registered to vote SMS your ID Number to 32810 to receive confirmation of your voter registration details, including the name of your voting station.
To find your nearest voting stations call the Electoral Commission Contact Centre on 0800 11 8000 free of charge, between 7am and 9pm on weekdays. Alternatively, you can the voting station finder app on the IEC website at www.elections.org.za or dial *120*IEC# (*120*432#).
Remember when going to vote to bring along your green bar-coded ID book, smart ID card or valid temporary ID certificates to the voting stations.
