Alleged drug dealer busted with his cash profit

Boksburg police arrested a Nigerian national after he was caught with a handful of cocaine in the Bokburg CBD on Saturday, July 22.

The man also had R14 993 in cash on him, believed to be from his drug trade.

After receiving a tip-off, WO Siza Dlamini and his colleague Const Thokozani Ntshalintshali from the Boksburg SAPS went to the suspect’s home, where they searched him and his room.

They recovered two small plastic bags containing white powder, which on subsequent analysis was confirmed to be cocaine.

The suspect allegedly tried to bribe the cops with cash after he was busted with the illicit substance.

The ‘offer’ was turned down.

The man was then taken to the police station where he was charged with possession and dealing in drugs.

Another charge of attempting to bribe the police officers may be added.

The arresting officers were applauded for their actions in this case.

Boksburg police management added that this arrest should act as a warning to all those aiming to benefit financially from criminal activities.
