A special Mandela Day for St Francis

Mandela Day is always a very special day at the St Francis Care Centre, as many companies open their hearts to its staff and patients.

On Mandela Day, July 18, Kemach JCB arrived at the centre around 8.30am, with boxes filled with products for the Rainbow Cottage children.

Food parcels and toiletries were amongst the items that were donated to the St Francis Care Centre.

According to Kemach JCB HR manager, Paskalinah Marebane, it’s the company’s first time hosting a charity initiative for the St Francis Care Centre.

Woolworths East Rand did its bit on Mandela Day by spending precious time with the kids and staff at the St Francis Care Centre.

“We wanted to invest in a Boksburg charity that takes care of children and we found that this centre has the most needs for children,” said Marebane.

While at the centre, Kemach JCB staff played with the kiddies.

Later that day, from 10am to 2pm, Woolworths East Rand held an event at the St Francis Care Centre.
