Learnership students make fiery strides in their studies

Fire and Emergency Services learnership students appointed in January 2016 have made great strides in their studies so far.

This is according to William Ntladi, district manager media liaison of the emergency services.

“These students have completed most of the modules and are left with only three before they can be taken for the experiential learning in different fire stations around the Ekurhuleni Metro,” said Ntladi.

“All of them are expected to be able to provide risk-based primary emergency care as advance first responders in the workplace.

“They can also engage in fire safety and public education activities, perform support operations at fire incidents and even perform fire ground operations necessary to ensure life safety, fire control and property conservation under supervision.”

He said the modules are as per different unit standards and NQF levels respectively.
