Goods worth thousands stolen over the weekend

The following crimes were reported to the Boksburg police during the period between May 27 and 29.

Burglary

Thieves forced their way into a business on Commissioner Street, Boksburg CBD, and stole goods worth about R8 500, on Friday night, May 27.

Meanwhile, crooks forced their way into a business on Reservoir Street, and stole PC monitors worth about R25 000, on May 29.

* Also on May 29, thieves broke into a residential property on Klipdrift Road, Freeway Park, and stole goods worth about R28 000.

The stolen items included a laptop, sound system and a GPS navigator.

Robbery

A man was rushed to hospital after an armed gang of about 10 robbers stormed his employee’s company and stole goods worth thousands of Rand, on Friday, May 27.

According to police reports, the thugs arrived at the business located on Pretoria Road, and handcuffed the employee, before demanding keys for the main gate.

The victim initially refused to give the keys to the robbers, who then severely assaulted him until he surrendered to the thugs.

They then loaded their loot, including electrical cables, a generator and a computer into a white truck, and drove off. -@FanieFLK
