The accident happened on April 23, just after 6am.
EMER-G-MED paramedics arrived on the scene to find that the car had collided with the bus head-on, leaving the car severely mangled.
“On assessment, it was found that the two occupants of the car, a male and female, were heavily entrapped and had already succumbed to their horrific injuries.
“Nothing further could be done and they were declared dead on the scene,” said EMER-G-MED.
Though the bus driver escaped uninjured he was however left traumatised.
The Metro Police Specialised Accident investigation unit were on the scene to investigate the exact events leading up to the collision.
