Boksburg North crime news: Copper thieves arrested

The following cases were reported at the Boksburg North SAPS this past week.

Theft of copper

One suspect was arrested for copper theft, on March 13, at about 11.38am. A security guard was doing his duties when he noticed a suspicious vehicle, with its driver, at a gate of a company in Francis Road, Anderbolt.

He searched the vehicle and found stolen copper.

Pointing of a firearm

On March 12, around 7pm, Boksburg North SAPS received a complaint regarding the pointing of a firearm. Arriving on the scene, they found a man who admitted that he had pointed a gas pistol at a woman.

They searched the house and found the gas pistol, with some live ammunition. The suspect was arrested for the pointing of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.

Copper thieves arrested

The guard at a scrap metal dealer was working at the gate when he stopped and searched a truck that wanted to leave, on March 14, at about 12.30pm.

He found stolen copper hidden by the battery of the truck. Seven suspects were arrested and a case of copper theft opened.
