* A security guard was shot dead while patrolling the ERPM property on Commissioner Street, Reiger Park, on Sunday night, January 31.
The guard, identified as Orlando Cesar – a Nigerian national – was shot in the stomach and he died on the scene.
The motive for the killing is still unknown, and no arrests have been made.
* An unknown man, believed to be aged between 28 and 30, was killed in a hit and run accident at the corner of Leon Ferreira Drive and Commissioner Street, on Saturday night, January 30.
