CBC High School on a roll on cricket field

CBC Boksburg fielded four teams against Krugersdorp High School on Saturday, January 16, with all the teams winning their matches in fine cricketing style.

The premier XI won by eight wickets.

The second XI won by 10 wickets, with Kevin Freel taking 5/6 in six overs.

The u-14A won by 62 runs, while the u-15A side put on a sparkling performance to win by 369 runs.

The u-15 team set a new school record by scoring 400 runs for four wickets in 50 overs. Outstanding performances were delivered by Savio Sardinha, who scored 103 runs not out, and ZaZa Mkize who scored 101 runs not out.

“The college is very proud of its cricketers, who were very focused on the day, with all the teams achieving an excellent result,” said director of sport Justin Stoop.

The CBC premier and u-15A sides played away, while the second and u-14A sides enjoyed the comforts of home ground.
