Man stabbed in Boksburg North, dies in hospital

A Boksburg North man died after he was stabbed while in his home in Fourth Street on Sunday, January 24.

The man, who hails from Zimbabwe, was rushed to the Tambo Memorial Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Details about the fatal stabbing are still sketchy, but the Boksburg police confirmed that a murder case has been registered at the police station.

The docket was transferred to the Boksburg North detectives.

The Advertiser is still waiting for the Boksburg North SAPS to release details of the incident.

According to the deceased’s countryman, who wishes to remain anonymous, the man was with his long term girlfriend when he was attacked.

The girlfriend reportedly went to the kitchen to fetch a knife to give to his boyfriend so that he could use it to fight off his assailants.

When the girlfriend returned to hand over the weapon, her boyfriend was apparently already stabbed and overpowered by the intruders.

“Instead of calling the police or an ambulance, the girlfriend decided to look for someone to rush her boyfriend to hospital in a car,” said the source. – @FanieFLK
