A 100 per cent pass rate for Hoërskool Voortrekker
Hoërskool Voortrekker achieved a 100 per cent pass rate in the 2015 matric examinations.
Hoërskool Voortrekker matriculants were over the moon after collecting their matric results at the school on January 6.
Overall the school received 63 distinctions with 61 per cent of the pupils receiving university exemptions.
The top two learners at the school, Kamohelo Sithole and Nthabiseng Maimela, received five and four distinctions respectively.
Four other learners, Santoshnie de Klerk, Showneez Jordaan, Nozandisile Kunene and Madithole Mashaba obtained three distinctions each.
Nthabiseng Maimela received four distinctions in life orientation (84 per cent), geography (86 per cent), life science (84 per cent) and physical science (84 per cent).
Kamohelo Sithole received five distinctions in mathematics (96 per cent), life orientation (81 per cent), accounting (88 per cent), life science (88 per cent) and physical science (87 per cent).
