A staff member told the Boksburg SAPS the store was closed for stocktaking, when a man pretending to be a security guard arrived at the door.
The man tricked the complainant into opening the door.
Once the door was opened, the man threatened the victim with a pickax and forced the staff member to lie on the ground, while he searched him.
Two more men, also described as coloured males, then emerged to join the robbery.
The trio stole the complainant’s personal items, including his cellphone. They then proceeded to steal groceries and an undisclosed amount of cash from the store.
No arrests have been made so far, but police are investigating. -@FanieFLK
