No time for bribery in Boksburg North

A suspect was arrested for bribery on November 18.

On that day, at round 11.50am, the Boksburg North SAP sector vehicle was attending to a complaint in Tile Road, Anderbolt.

According to the Boksburg North SAPS communications officer, Lieut Juanita Coetzer, the officers stopped at a food stall next to the road and explained to the women that she is not allowed to operate such a business without the necessary paperwork.

“They told the women to pack up the goods and leave the premises; at the same time, an unknown man across the road started shouting and swearing at the policemen,” said Coetzer.

“They went to him and told him that he was interfering with their work, but he kept swearing.

“They arrested him and took him to the Boksburg North SAPS. On their way to the station, he offered them cash to let him go.”
