Security guard at lodge nabbed for selling drugs to patrons

A security guard at a lodge in Boksburg was on Thursday, November 19 busted for selling drugs at the lodge.

This is according to Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago, EMPD spokesperson.

“The metro police officers were acting on information provided by the concerned members of the community around the lodge,” said Kgasago.

“It emerged that the security guard, a Malawian national, was selling the drugs on behalf of a Nigerian man who the metro police are searching for and hope to make an arrest soon.

“The man was found in possession of twelve small bags of Cat and five containing cocaine. The estimated street value of which is R5 000.

“The security guard (48) was charged at Boksburg police station with possession and suspected selling of illicit substances.”
