Gun-wielding robbers target clothing store

Boksburg police are looking for a gang of gun-wielding thugs, who robbed the Mr Price clothing store on Commissioner Street, in the Boksburg CBD.

The armed men stormed into the store in broad daylight, on Thursday, October 10.

A security guard told the police that the robbers assaulted him and ordered customers to remain inside the shop, before they stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

* A man and his wife were left devastated after a gunman robbed them of a wedding ring and a cellphone, worth R22 000, at their house, on Thursday afternoon, October 15.

On October 12, an armed trio entered a home in Parkrand and robbed the family of goods worth R41 000.

The complainant told the police that the three thugs entered the house, ordered the victims to close their eyes and fired one shot, hitting one of the family members in his hand.

The stolen goods included expensive cameras.

* In Cason, criminals robbed a man of R3 000, while he was walking along Campbell Road, on October 14.

* Police are investigating a case of murder, following the October 15 discovery of the decomposing body of a man, in the open veld next to View Point Farm, on Rondebult Road.

The man had suffered stab wounds.
