East Rand Business Women celebrate with style and class
The East Rand Business Women's Association celebrated Women’s Day in style, at the Birchwood Hotel, on August 12.
It was a fun-filled morning at which the women’s senses were delighted in many ways.
They were treated to a fashion show and pampered with chocolates, champagne and strawberries.
Gorgeous fashions, including shoes, bags and jewellery, were showcased.
Nicolette Fouché, from Fouché Chocolates, shared fun facts on the origin of chocolates.
She has been in the chocolate-making industry for 21 years and taught the women how to taste a chocolate and to determine whether it’s good or not.
She said this depends on the amount of cocoa butter used in the process.
Models in the fashion parade were members of the association who were styled from head to toe by the fashion gurus. The models’ make up and nails were done and they were dressed in flattering, feminine attire.
A delicious lunch was served and women from all over the East Rand – whether strangers, acquaintances or friends – socialised during the course of the morning.
