Alleged rapist sjamboked in Angelo
An angry mob turned the tables on a sexual predator during a home invasion and rape in the early hours of Saturday, August 1.
According to Boksburg SAPS’ Lieut Kwendzakwakhe Ngobese, a man known to the Angelo informal settlement community forced his way into the victim’s shack – a teenager – and raped her.
When the victim’s mother arrived home at about 2am, she was reportedly distracted by the commotion from her daughter’s shack.
While the suspect was still inside the shack, the teenager told her mother of the rape.
“The suspect tried to flee but the mother managed to hold him while she shouted for help. Fellow residents rushed to the scene and began assaulting the alleged rapist,” said Ngobese.
The police arrived to save suspect’s life from the angry mob.
The severely injured suspect was transported to hospital and was on Tuesday afternoon, August 4, still fighting for his life in hospital.
Ngobese said upon his release from the hospital, he will be charged with rape. – @FanieFLK
