In light of this recent incident, owner Chris da Silva has come out in defence of his establishment, saying Presley’s has never been unsafe in the 23 years since it’s existence.
“We have strict safety regulations in place, such as searching for drugs and weapons. In fact, we have adopted a zero tolerance policy when it comes to drugs,” he said.
“This is only the third serious drug related incident to surface in 23 years, so our security is quite intense.”
Da Silva said anyone caught with drugs at his facility gets banned from the place.
Regarding the latest incident regarding Compaan, da Silva said he would never allow anyone to leave the place carrying a woman on their shoulder.
“I will definitely interfere and find out if they know each other,” said da Silva.
He said he is assisting where he can with the investigation.
“All I can say is thank God she has been found.”
Margaretha Compaan was found the next morning, alive, in a veld.
