Young Boksburg mother dies following apparent battle with H1N1 virus (swine flu)

A Boksburg resident and young mother of two small children, who has been fighting for her life in The Life Parkland Clinic in Springs, died shortly after 2pm today (July 21).

According the Springs Advertiser, Bianca Muller (27) was recently diagnosed with the H1N1 virus (swine flu) while being pregnant with her second child, and admitted to Life Parkland Clinic.

Her aunt Martie Muller (65) is saddened by the news and says Bianca was in lot of pain.

Martie says if it wasn’t Bianca’s kidneys that were affected it was her lungs.

According to Martie, Bianca also received multiple units of blood.

Bianca gave birth to a healthy baby girl, Leané, on June 10.

Her husband, Johan (31), told the Springs Advertiser this morning that their daughters Leané and Natasha (4) are doing well.

After news of her passing reached the Springs Advertiser, he couldn’t be reached for comment.

Due to the South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI) which protects patient confidentiality, the hospital didn’t want to comment.
