Suspect arrested for Calton Conge’s murder

Police have made a significant breakthrough in the Farrar Park murder investigation, where a man was stabbed in the chest and left to die on the side of the road.

The body of Calton Conge was discovered lying on Rondebult Road, at about 11.20pm, on Sunday, July 12, by a patrolling police officer.

The police immediately launched a manhunt to find the killer.

In a dramatic turn of events, the investigating officer, Det-Const Calvin Mphaphuli, and his team, arrested a 23 year-old man in connection with the murder the following day (Monday, July 13).

It has emerged that the victim was attacked while walking along the road while carrying a plastic bag full of goods he bought from a nearby supermarket.

It is believed that the suspect confronted Conge, stabbed him in the chest and stole his belongings, including the plastic bag full of goods. – @FanieFLK
