Officers enjoy revamped Customer Service Centre

The days of working in a cramped office are over for the Boksburg police, who have recently moved into their convenient, newly revamped Customer Service Centre (CSC) at the station.

The CSC is where clients make use of certain services, such as the reporting of crimes, certification of documents and inquiries.

The improvements came about after a group of locals took it upon themselves to upgrade the service centre.

According to the Boksburg SAPS’s Capt Susan Meyer, the community members contributed money, material, their time and effort to improve the facility.

The centre now boasts a tiled floor, new furniture, and the interior has been painted white, yellow and blue.

Police management, including the station commander, Col Biggs Govender, as well as the contributors to the project held an official opening ceremony at the centre.

Officers had to carry out their duties in a cramped office for a few weeks, while workers were still busy renovating the CSC.
