According to Santi Steinmann, media liaison officer of Netcare 911, paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that a motor vehicle had rear-ended a light delivery vehicle.
“Upon assessment of the occupants from both vehicles, paramedics found that a female driver from the motor vehicle and a male driver from the light delivery vehicle, had both sustained minor to moderate injuries during the rear-end accident,” said Steinmann.
“Both patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
“Traffic was severely obstructed as a result of the accident.
“Exact detail surrounding the cause of the rear-end crash and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.”
