Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that a motor vehicle and motorcycle were involved in the accident.
Reports from the scene indicate that the motorcycle crashed against the side of the motor vehicle.
According to Santi Steinmann, media liaison officer Netcare 911 , said, however, exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
“Upon assessment of the occupants from the motor vehicle, paramedics found that a woman sustained serious injuries during the accident,” said Steinmann.
“The two people traveling on the motorcycle was also found to have sustained serious injuries during the crash.
“All three patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.”
Traffic was severely affected as a result of the accident.
