Investigation reveals stabbed child was dumped at hijacking scene

It has emerged during the day’s investigation by the Boksburg SAPS that the child (5), who was stabbed, was dumped at the scene of the hijacking.

This is according to the Boksburg SAPS station commander, Biggs Govender.

According to Govender the hijacking took place in Trichardts Road, next to Sunward Park Lifestyle Centre, at around 8pm on Sunday evening May 17.

It appears the hijackers then drove south with the father of the child and dumped him about a 1km away from the scene of the hijacking.

Govender said the father, who was apparently disoriented due to a struggle with the hijackers, then went to the Dawn Park SAPS to find help.
