Weekend crime report: Vehicle stolen during rugby match

The following crimes were reported in the Boksburg SAPS precinct over the weekend:

* One rugby supporter was on Friday evening, May 8, left stranded after thieves stole his Toyota Hilux.

He was at the time watching the rugby match between Boksburg and Brakpan at the Prince George Park Stadium.

* Meanwhile, thieves stole a VW Polo, which was parked on Market Street, next to Home Affairs, on Saturday evening.

* A complainant was robbed R470 by three armed men, driving a white Bantam bakkie, during broad daylight on Saturday.

He was at the time walking along Market Street when he was accosted by the men.

* The precinct also saw a number of traffic-related violations such as speeding and reckless driving.

The EMPD arrested seven people for exceeding the speed limits in different roads of Boksburg over the weekend.

They all appeared in court on Monday, May 11. – @FanieFLK
