Thief arrested after brave neighbour photographs him

The Boksburg North SAPS arrested three housebreaking suspects for three different crimes recently.

The suspects were detained at the Boksburg North SAPS.

* On April 24, around 6.30pm, a complainant left his house in Roets Street, Beyers Park.

According to the Boksburg North SAPS communication officer, Lieut Juanita Coetzer, the next day, at about 5pm, the complainant received a call from his neighbour that his house had been burgled.

“The neighbour took a photo of the suspect and his vehicle,” said Coetzer.

“Upon arrival, the complainant found his residence door forced open. He also found some items left at the gate of his house.”

The suspect allegedly left in a yellow Datsun bakkie.

Later, CMS security called the owner and the SAPS with the news that they had apprehended the suspect and some of the stolen goods.

* On April 28, around 11.30am, a complainant was notified that there had been a burglary at his mother-in-law’s residence.

According to Coetzer, when the complainant arrived at the house, he found the sliding burglar door forced open.

He also found that a vehicle had been stolen from the garage. There were also electrical appliances missing.

The suspect was arrested in Benoni for possession of stolen goods.

*A Clearwater Estates burglar was arrested in Tembisa, on April 23.

According to the Boksburg North SAPS communication officer, Lieut Juanita Coetzer, the security guards were informed that the fence has been cut at the premises in Atlas Road.

“Upon arrival, they found a Toyota Venture speeding away and they immediately gave chase,” said Coetzer.

The suspect was apprehended in Tembisa.

The SAPS arrested the suspect and found four rechargeable batteries in his possession. – @IschkeBoksburg
