Little Tenique (5) needs your help to fund operation

A charity event for a little girl, Tenique Heiny (5), will be held at Annemarie's Bikers Inn, in Boksburg, on Sunday April 19.

The day includes fun activities for children and musical entertainment.

Tenique was born with one leg about 10cm shorter than the other.

According to the committee secretary of the Committed Motorcycle Club, Natasha Kruger, the reason for the fund-raising event is to contribute towards her medical bills, which amount to about R23 000, for an operation (on May 4) to stretch the shorter bone.

“With this operation, the bone in the leg is going to be stretched by 5mm per month, over a two-year-time frame,” said Kruger.

“They will be inserting pins and screws to adjust the leg every couple of weeks.”

The event will start at 10am and those who would like to support it can call Kruger on 079 382 7154. – @NalediBoksburg
