According to the Boksburg North SAPS communication officer, Lieut Juanita Coetzer, an unknown man, armed with a firearm, entered the shop at around 3.40pm, posing as a potential ring buyer.
“The next moment, the suspect took out a firearm and pointed at the employee,” said Coetzer.
According to Coetzer, he forced the employee to the back office where the other employees were busy counting the cash.
“He managed to flee with the stolen goods. On his way out, the suspect also pointed the firearm at a security guard.”
The suspect sped away in a black vehicle.
No shots were fired and no injuries sustained. The case is under investigation. – @IschkeBoksburg
