War on drugs intensifies with Angelo drug bust

The war against drugs has taken a positive turn after Pretoria Flying Squad members recently arrested a 32-year-old woman in Angelo informal settlement for dealing in drugs.

A large amount of dagga, including an undisclosed amount of cash. were also seized.

The woman was arrested after she was found in possession of dozens of ‘fingers’ of dagga and illegal cigarettes.

According to the Boksburg SAPS spokesperson, Lieut Kwendzakwakhe Ngobese, Pretoria Flying Squad members had been following up on information about a drug dealer, who was operating in a shack in the informal settlement.

She was charged with dealing in drugs and had made her first court appearance on March 16.

Speaking on behalf of the Boksburg SAPS, Ngobese said they are pleased that drugs have been removed from the settlement.

* On February 26, EMPD K9 Unit members arrested two Nigerian nationals aged 31 and 32, for dealing in drugs in a flat along Brown Street, Cason.

They were found in possession of the drug ‘Cat’, with an estimated street value of R100 000.
