Missing Boksburg man found dead in Finland

Boksburg resident Herc Croeser (60), who went missing while attending a conference in Finland, was found dead on March 11.

This is according to Christelle Scheun, of Metso Minerals in South Africa, where Croeser worked as a manager.

His body was located in the river in Tampere and it is not yet know what is the cause of death.

Scheun said: “It is with deep regret and sadness that we announce that the body of our colleague Croeser has been found.

“At this difficult time our thoughts and full support are with the family.”

She said Metso will continue to support the local authorities in their investigation.

Croeser was expected to land at OR Tambo International Airport on Saturday, March 7, but he did not board the flight back from Finland with his colleagues.

His belongings, including his passport and money, were found in his hotel room by the police.

He was last seen on Thursday, March 5, with his colleagues.

Scheun added that he last contacted his family on the same date.

Croeser had been in Finland since March 2, during his fourth trip to the country. He was reported missing to Interpol.
