Slater will be taking the stand as a result of an article published in the Bedford Edenvale News in January 2012, following an interview she (Charmaine Slater) had conducted with Suellen Sheehan who alleged she was sexually abused by Bob Hewitt.
Hewitt’s bid to have his rape charge struck from the roll failed in the Palm Ridge, on February 12.
The former tennis champion faces three charges of rape.
