LATEST: Steroid pupils taken out of EG Jansen
Two pupils who were recently caught with steroids at EG Jansen, are no longer students at the school.
The school held a disciplinary hearing for the pupils, aged 16 and 17, on February 10.
“Both the parents decided to take their children out of the school during the hearing,” said the school governing body chairperson, Kobus Kleynhans.
Asked how they felt about the parents’ decision, Kleynhans said: “What can you do? We cannot force them to do anything when they are comfortable with their decision.”
The Advertiser understands that the criminal charges facing the two pupils will remain in place.
