Seventy-eight girls sat for the examinations; 44 girls attained 76 distinctions among them.
All learners achieved a tertiary education pass from their matric exams.
Two girls, Sasha Corlett and Isabel dos Santos, achieved a commendable rating, falling within the top five per cent of all learners within the country, each achieving seven distinctions.
Corlett achieved 99 per cent for mathematics and is under the top one per cent for mathematics and accountancy in the country.
Isabel dos Santos is under the top one per cent in the country for geography and mathematics, along with Tayla Kassel.
Kassel (seven distinctions), Kaitlyn Flynn (seven distinctions) and Kaye-Leigh Dezulovic (six distinctions) were among the other leading matrics for 2014.
“I am very proud of all our learners who wrote matric,” says head of St Dominic’s, Roger Loring.
“We achieved 76 distinctions which averages roughly one distinction per learner.
“Overall our learners have made us very proud and we wish them all the best as they embark on their new journeys for 2015.”
