Stage 3 load-shedding still at hand in Ekurhuleni

With the recent power cuts and rolling blackouts experienced countrywide, Eskom has implemented stage three load-shedding, and the Ekurhuleni metro has no control over electricity at this stage.

This is according to metro spokesperson, Themba Gadebe.

“This simply means that the schedules that are placed on Ekurhuleni website is no longer valid because it is on stage three; Eskom is now in control.

“If it’s on stage one and two, then residents can visit our website, as we work according to a schedule, however, it is currently on stage three.”

Even though Eskom’s website says they have downgraded to stage two, Ekurhuleni has not been downgraded.

This means that Eskom can shut off the power at any time.
