The kits consist of items like baby towels, napkins, baby oil and soap, sanitiser, baby shawl, little teddy bears, and toilet rolls.
According to the organisation’s chairperson Kuban Reddy, the donation was made possible by local business people who contributed towards the costs of the items.
“Our main objective is to alleviate poverty, and we are doing as much as we possible can to help the underprivileged,” says Reddy.
Speaking on behalf of the mothers who benefited, one of the mothers, Charity Sibanda, expressed her gratitude.
“The items donated will go a long way. Thank you very much,” said Sibanda.
On behalf of the hospital, Sister Boitumelo Gaofetoge also thanked Ocean Fund for helping the needy.
“What an incredible act of kindness. We hope other local organisations and businesses will learn from this organisation and do likewise,” Gaofetoge. – @FanieBoksburg
